Nature Kenya Golf Day 2021

This event organized by Nature Kenya, one of Africa’s oldest environmental society, established in 1909, promotes the study and conservation of nature in eastern Africa. Nature Kenya through its support group the Mount Kenya biodiversity conservation group (Mt Kebio) works with local communities alongside conservation authorities to conserve the critical Mount Kenya forest ecosystem.

For many years the Mount Kenya forest has been struggling with rampant cases of deforestation, the disappearance of rare tree species, increased cases of charcoal burning and solid waste pollution. The proceeds for this event will be used to mobilize and empower local communities towards forest landscape restoration of Mount Kenya forest.
