Platcorp Foundation Q2 Report 2025

From seedballs to scholarships, from savannahs to playgrounds — our Q2 2025 has been all about turning small actions into big impact across Africa!
We’re excited to share the Platcorp Foundation Q2 2025 Report, showcasing how our foundation and subsidiaries are driving meaningful change for communities, the environment, and future generations.

Highlights include:

🌱 Environmental Conservation: With WildLandscapes International, we worked to reduce tsetse fly density from 170 to 6.25 flies/trap/day at Kidepo National Park. VIVA 365 Insurance Brokers partnered with the Wangari Maathai Institute to plant indigenous trees. Additionally, 120 hikers from Platinum Credit Kenya, participated in the Hike for Trees Initiative, planting 100,000 seedballs to support the reforestation of Kianugu Hills and Mount Longonot.

🌍 Community & Education: Platinum Credit Kenya, donated 25,000 sanitary towels to 66 public schools and government institutions. Premier Credit Kenya sponsored occupational therapy for 20 children with Cerebral Palsy and donated 10,000-litre water tanks to two schools. Fanikiwa Microfinance donated 10 computers, tables, and chairs to Kumbukumbu Primary School. Through the Sahih Scholarship Fund, MOMENTUM Kenya sponsored 13 students.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Partnerships & Development: Platinum Credit Uganda renovated the Nsambya Police Health Centre III, refurbishing its laboratory. Premier Credit Uganda was also a corporate sponsor for the Kabaka Birthday Run, which supports the fight against HIV/AIDS and the health of the girl child. Platinum Credit Kenya, supported 4 sports teams with training equipment and uniforms.
